In October 1999, the International eBook Award Foundation created the Frankfurt eBook Award (FeBA) to recognize excellence in eBooks, a new media with tremendous potential and opportunities for authors, publishers, imprints, and the reading public throughout the world. The response far exceeded IeBAF expectations, overwhelming our initial projections, with submissions arriving from countries including Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, South Korea, the UK and the US. Submission Form Presented for the first time during the Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2000, the FeBA has taken its place among the most prestigious of literary awards that recognize significant contributions to the world of letters. These annual awards will continue to honor quality and integrity in writing, celebrating and promoting enhancements that take full advantage of the technical developments in the eBook field. The Children's Award highlights outstanding accomplishments in enhanced eBooks for younger readers, an audience that is vital to the future of eBooks. The International eBook Award Foundation was created to be the administrator of the Frankfurt eBook Awards (FeBA). This independent Foundation, and the Awards, are underwritten by major sponsors.
